Education This section can include high school and any post-secondary education. If you have completed post-secondary education, it is not necessary to include high school. It should include all postsecondary education, at least that which is relevant to the position for which you are applying. Like your Experience, your Education should be listed in reverse chronological order (most recent first). Follow the formatting used in your Experience section, with your degree/certificate/diploma(s) featured most prominently, followed by the graduation year or expected graduation, the school, and the city and province/country. Do not include a description of the school or program, a list of the courses, or a syllabus. You are marketing YOU, not your alma mater. If you are lacking related work experience, you can include a brief synopsis of a project or two if there is relevance to the position for which you are applying. You can also choose to include academic awards and/or scholarships – just be sure to indicate why you received them (e.g. leadership, volunteer efforts, grades, etc.) and when. Education is the passport to the future.
